Alot of people have never trained in their life to know mastering the fundamentals is the most important thing ever. Had luffy not been a dimwit and already knew how to use Haki Rayleigh could have taught him a great many other of things. But, just having him learn the basics well set him on this path.

Not just that. Having a teacher to guide you trough such training is the most helpful. Luffy had to learn how to properly use all 3 types of Haki on command and within 2 years he did it. Trough battles with other, better and more experienced Haki users Luffy evolves himself just like he did when training.

When Usopp activated Observation Haki he did it on an impulse and it was a one-off. If he could train with someone to properly manifest it, that would make him stronger. He can't do it alone and neither could have Luffy. About everything related to Haki, Luffy had to be taught how to use it on command. Only when gaining the understanding and mastery of it could he mimic/evolve better abilities.

experience is the best teacher lol, they watching one piece while their eyes close. luffy able to do all of those cos of his experience(its literally flashing luffy's near death exp), it cannot be obtain mere training. for example Doflamingo cannot use advance armament and adv obs cos he do not push himself to his limit.

And he's able to destroy others with armament haki from the inside? Was he just reminding himself of what Hyogoro taught and he infused that with "colour of the supreme king" (which is colour of the... conqueor's haki right? which is the ability to knock someone out right?) i don't get what he learnt this episode, can someone please explain it to me?

The manga aptly described the scenario whereas in the anime, they tried to godly animation in which they succeeded but went a little over the top.

Too much time for charging attacks and, but the episode overall was a total banger
